The final output can be good, with relentless tweaking and resets. Though it's faster on M1 Mac in emulation than on my old Intel iMac.ī) Webp are an annoying facet of using the web these days. The only requests I could have might beĪ) Please update to M1 silicon, this is the only Intel app I am still using. There are almost no problems with this program, and it magically works with whatever I throw at it. This is why I'm happy to have Gif Brewery 3, which is the cloest thing to "Photoshop" level working with GIFs. I work with GIFs all day long, creating memes to post on social media, and I need a serioous tool to do my work. Didn’t know there were SO many more capabilities…and in a FREE APP. I’m not gretaly experienced making GIF’s, but I’ve made about 20 in my life, so not a total amateur-always used Gifski (also free Mac app) and was pleased with it. I HATE writing reviews but this surprised me so much that I felt obligated. Some parts of the creation process are multi threaded but some parts are not. The only problem is the time it takes to make the GIFs. GIF Brewery has a great way to step down the colors used one by one until the size and quality trade offs are acceptable. The biggest problem with GIFs is they get huge fast and the way to shrink them is resize the video or reduce the colors used. GIF Brewery is easy to just stick in a video clip and get something quick but it is also the most powerful to tweak settings and fine tune. I am a video editor and occationally clients was GIFs of shots or sections to share.
